Project Name: Warranty Claims SAP Implementation Integration with Web Portal
Business Objective: Toyota Materials Handling Unit has been the #1 selling lift truck supplier in the United States since 2002. 68 of the 188 authorized dealers in the US offer comprehensive customer service support, including one-stop shopping for both new and Certified Used lift trucks, parts and service, fleet servicing, and financing. A key objective was to integrate the Japan-hosted legacy warranty claims system with SAP, while providing web portal access.
Solution
Toyota engaged Harmonic to develop an application which:

- Integrated their legacy-based warranty claims system with the new SAP implementation
- Tracked and managed inventory control from SAP, with a web portal front end using Microsoft .NET
- Integrated warranty claims data with inventory data using SAP (Microsoft ADO.NET) connectors
- Provided real time web based reporting on parts inventory, warranty claims, including procurement and shipping of necessary warranty claims parts to dealers
- Provided search functionality across inventory and warranty claims data for a set number of fields, as well as ad hoc query capability by management and sales personnel
