Solution
IDEX engaged Harmonic to work on multiple products for its various business units as follows:

- Water Meters, IOT and Modern UXUI Visual Design – IDEX is an industry leader in water metering, monitoring, and predictive analytics. Harmonic assisted IDEX in building a modern, secure, web based user interface system that functions on computers, tablets, and mobile phones.
- The solution provides water meter flow monitoring hardware, software, and services for wastewater collections, treatment systems, hydro-electric, and other open and closed channel applications including ultrasonic Doppler technology, transit-time, and cross correlation.
- Enhanced Reporting based on modern javascript based reporting tools as well as enhanced maps based on Google maps were integrated.
- Electronic Controls and Chemical Dispensing Equipment Pumps IOT and Modern UXUI Visual Design – IDEX is an industry leader in precision diaphragm metering pumps, alloy and non-metallic gear pumps, centrifugal pumps, special purpose rotary pumps, peristaltic pumps, transfer pumps, engineered system solutions, electronic controls and dispensing equipment used in a wide range of applications from municipal water and wastewater to power generation to food & beverage to commercial laundry and dishwashing.
- This project consisted of architecting and building from scratch a new web based central command and control console for managing, reporting, and interacting with certain water pump controllers remotely from a computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
- Instead of the physical plant operator staff having to physically walk out to a monitoring device and collect data via USB drive for example, now all the machines are online and securely connected, accessible to the customer via a web browser.
- Data collection, real time status indicator, low power mode, and complex device configuration are all performed from a single interface, for unlimited amount of controllers.
- Cloud Hosting and Support Services – via our Cloud and Support Services group, Harmonic also provides cloud hosting, backup and monitoring, intrusion detection, and 24/7/365 IT support services for a subset of critical customer facing, revenue generating systems for certain IDEX business units.
