The HCSC First Annual SharePoint Hackathon in Dallas, Texas, awarded a $10,000 first prize to the winning team. The teams were asked to demonstrate within a single 8-hour period a useful SharePoint based project that used any possible exploits in the given domain and network to solve a particular business need.
From over 300+ competitors, our very own Harmonic Consulting Inc. President, Brandon Acuff, led the team to first place with a winning solution that utilized SharePoint, Modern Web Parts, Workflows, and Active Directory to utilize some exposed information within AD, blending this in with some SharePoint platform provided user information, to display commonly used applications appropriate to that department and that user on a SharePoint site, as well as glean any other information on the user that was available from AD. We had a great time at this hackathon, learned a lot from the hybrid team, and all other teams and participants, and we were glad to bring home the prize which ultimately benefited HCSC employees!
